Confession Time
We have a confession to make.
We must come clean. So here it is -- the cold hard truth. And we'll be frank:
We don't know what we're doing.
In fact, we never do. But we don't let this one little fact stop us from trying.
For we've always found that when we're up to our elbow's in grease...with scraped up knuckles...and a head full of frustration, that we've discovered much, much more about a car engine than we ever could have learned reading the automotive manual.
So, too, when we found ourselves continuing to add messages to the auto-responder we set up for the Great Depression Online 7-Day Course, we had to stop and ask ourselves...
"Just what the heck are we doing?"
And to that, our answer...
"We don't know what we're doing."
And here, we find, we are where we started with this little confession of ours.
Looking For Answers From Our Magic 8-Ball
But, again, we won't let this one little fact stop us from trying.
We've put our heads together...crunched some numbers...and even hired a consultant (just kidding).
Yet, still, no answer.
So we shook up our trusty Magic 8-Ball, and put the question to it -- And wahhlahh!
"Without A Doubt," came the reply. Finally, we had an answer.
A Full Fledged E-Newsletter
And here's what it means...
The Great Depression Online will now be published as a full-fledged E-Newsletter. And you are a charter subscriber!
New issues will be published twice-weekly; every Tuesday and Friday.
The advantage: Information will be more current than the previous auto-responder format.
The disadvantage: More work for us.
Other points to note:
Issues will be sent directly to your e-mail inbox and will be posted and archived here -- on our new and improved website. Check it out at: http://www.greatdepressiononline.com.
Each issue will include -- on average -- two advertisements. These will be advertisements for our own publications or for publications we have an affiliate relationship with.
We know you may not like advertisements... But we are running a business here -- humble as it may be.
Plus we have an 11-month old son that will one day want to go to college. And the tuition -- like everything else -- keeps going up, up, up.
We hope this little newsletter can help us save some dough, or at the very least, provide some compensation for all the time we put into it.
So there's our confession...
Straight from the horse's mouth.
Sincerely,
M.N. Gordon
